Christmas Messages for 2020

We wish all in our community a peaceful and loving Christmas. We are practising our faith at home a lot and connecting together by telephone, text, what's app, zoom , email and by post. Some of us will gather in our church building for two Advent services and then on Christmas Eve for Holy Communion - all within Covid safe and legal practise.

We can't wait to open our building to share God's house with the people of Saltney again for worship, lunches, coffee and chat, toddlers group,  girls club, knit and natter and all the other times of fellowship we like to share with you.

We won't be able to do that for some time yet, but over this Christmas period we have used our church building to remind all of us in Saltney that Jesus was born to bring light and hope in the darkness and to set the prisoners free by coming as the redeemer of the whole world.  We show this with our poster of Christmas Greetings, our window displays and Christmas trees - all at the front of the church so you know we are still connected to our special community of Saltney.

ISAIAH 9

verse 2    The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.

verses 6 & 7 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever.
